Spellings will be given out every Friday and tested the following Wednesday in phonics lessons. 

Spellings will now be set according to the group that your child is in for phonics. Please ask your child which teacher they have for phonics in order for them to practice the correct words.

In some groups, children will receive spellings linked with the sounds that they have been learning in phonics sessions and a selection of red words. (These are spellings that cannot be sounded out and must be learned by sight).
