Father Neil is the Parish Priest at Holy Family Catholic Church. He comes into school regularly to celebrate Mass with us and to support with our RE learning and the liturgical life of the school. He is also one of our school governors. Our partnership with Father Neil is integral to the children's understanding of our faith and the litrugical year.
Every Friday, one Key Stage 2 year group attends mass with the parishinors. All Key stage 2 classes attend mass on Holy Days of Obligation. The children are also given the opportuntiy to read and altar serve at these masses. On Holy Days, Father Neil also invites our younger children into the church for a special age-appropriate service.
During both Lent and Advent, children in Years 4-6 are invited to the Sacrament of Reconciliation with Father Neil. Our oldest children are also given the opportunity to spend an hour with Father Neil for a question and answer session. This session allows our children to understand their faith more deeply and connect with worship on a deeper, spiritual level.
