Following our 'Outstanding' R.E. Inspection report in May 2023, the Chief Inspector of Schools, Nancy Conoboy wrote to us:
Congratulations to you, the governors, leadership team and all the staff at Holy Family Catholic Primary School on an excellent diocesan inspection report!
It was wonderful to read of the ways in which the pupils enjoy such a rich educational experience, especially in the Catholic life of the school. It was interesting to learn about the investment in the physical space and iconography and how these are used to great effect both in terms of religious education and in the children’s spiritual development. I was particularly taken by the range of charities the school supports and the number of leadership roles available to the pupils – you are developing future Catholic leaders at Holy Family! I was also pleased to read that the pupils are able to think theologically and ethically and can articulate these complex ideas in writing and in discussion with others. I fully appreciate that this comes about as a result of extensive staff development and carefully planning over an extended period, so this must be recognised and applauded. What also came through as a real strength was the shared energy and commitment to providing the pupils with the best quality of Catholic education and the creative and innovative approach employed.
It is the quality of leadership, the vision and inspiration of the head and his leadership team, together with governors, that enables a school to continue to grow and develop to ensure all its member's flourish.
With every good wish.
Nancy Conoboy
