Welcome to Year 6!
This promises to be an exciting final year at Holy Family for your children.
It was fantastic to see so many of you at our welcome talk. This was a great opportunity to share information on the year ahead. If you were unable to attend, please find the documents within our class pages.
In Year 6 we encourage the children to take more responsibility whilst developing a higher level of resilience, independence and ownership for both their learning and their actions.
6T and 6J have their class assemblies to look forward to this term (please see ‘Key Dates’) and we hope to see as many of you as possible at these fantastic displays of the children's work. A reminder that parents are invited to our whole school Achievement Assemblies on Friday afternoons at 2:40pm in the school hall. Children receiving certificates are always excited to see their parents/carers attending for their moment of glory.
Homework is set throughout the week to consolidate the children's understanding of concepts and further develop skills learnt. The children should complete these tasks on their own to develop their own sense of responsibility, taking a great pride in their work and preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
At Holy Family we do our best for the glory of God.
