PGL

Friday afternoon

Our next stop is West Acton! We have packed up our coach and we are on our way home. It’s a very quiet coach journey today. We have had an incredible week at PGL. We will remember this week for the rest of our lives but we cannot wait to be reunited with our families! Our estimated time of arrival at Holy Family is 4.30pm but the office will keep parents updated.

Friday morning

Our last day has been a great one. We took a trip to the beach. Our bags are full of rocks- sorry parents! Some of us braved the giant swing whilst others enjoyed some fencing. We are heading to lunch now- our final meal at PGL!

Thursday evening

This evening we enjoyed the disco! We think that we scrub up quite well- just have a look at our pictures below! We also showed off our very impressive dance moves. We are back in our rooms now packing for our journey back to West Acton tomorrow. We have had a brilliant week but we are very excited to get back and see our families.

Thursday afternoon

We have another afternoon full of really fun activities! We will be doing the giant swing, sensory trail, Jacob’s ladder and rifle shooting! It is very windy in Weymouth today which makes the activities even more fun!!

Thursday morning

After a great nights sleep we woke up all excited for the dragon boat racing this morning. We saw a huge cruise ship out in the water this morning which had thousands of people on it. The balloon splash last night was so much fun. We were given water balloons and had to build different padding around it so it didn’t break when we threw it. Lots of us played cards till late last night and watched the wind which was howling.
We can’t wait for dragon boat racing!!

Wednesday afternoon

We enjoyed some delicious chicken nuggets with potato wedges and salad for lunch today. It gave us plenty of energy for our afternoon of activities. We spent the afternoon climbing Jacob’s Ladder, playing aeroball, climbing low level ropes and jumping off the trapeze. Some of us also went to the PGL shop to spend our money! We bought lots of nice things which you will see when we return on Friday! We are looking forward to dinner (which is cheesy meatballs!) and our last activity of the day: balloon splash!

Wednesday morning

This morning we enjoyed another hearty breakfast full of fruit and cereal. It’s now time for our morning activities: zip wire, sensory trail, giant swing and rifle shooting.

Tuesday afternoon

We enjoyed some delicious burgers for lunch today. Our teachers then took us to Little Wembley again for some more hill rolling and running around! Then it was time for our afternoon full of activities. Some of us then faced our fear of heights and went abseiling! We also took part in some archery- some of us think that we should we set up a Holy Family archery club!

Tuesday morning

We were up nice and early this morning for our breakfast at 7.45am. We enjoyed some fruit, bacon, beans, toast and cereal! We then got into our groups and enjoyed our first activities. We did trapeze, aeroball, abseiling, fencing, jacobs ladder and low level ropes course. It was a little rainy this morning but the sun is slowly coming out now.

Monday evening- Campfire

This evening we enjoyed a lovely campfire in the dark. We gathered together (with our torches!) and the PGL team taught us lots of funny songs to sing and dance to!

We are now heading back to our rooms for showers and to get ready for bed. We are going to get a good night sleep before our busy day of activities tomorrow.

Monday afternoon- Arriving at Osmington Bay

We’ve arrived! We had an incredibly smooth journey down to Osmington Bay. When we arrived, we met our group leaders AJ and Lauren. They gave us a tour of the site- we saw the food hall and our meeting point. We were amazed by the spectacular views of Weymouth! After our tour, we were taken to ‘Little Wembley’. It’s a giant sandy football pitch! We were playing games, rolling down hills and building sandcastles. Have a look below to see the amazing horse, Sandy, made by Kate. Our teachers then showed us to our rooms- we are all very happy! Soon we will be going to dinner- we have a choice of chicken katsu curry or vegetable lasagna.
