Relationship and Sex Education Consultation
During the academic year 2020-2021, it is a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales teach Relationship and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum.
As part of implementing the RSE curriculum, schools must consult with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.
Holy Family’s consultation will run between 24th September to 31st October 2020. This period will ensure that all stakeholders have time to read, understand and send your viewpoints for a full consultation.
The letter that we sent out is attached below.
The two documents we ask you to read are:
School policy for Relationship and Sex Education
Relationship and Sex Education Curriculum Outline
(These are available below)
Westminster Diocese have created a parent power-point for us to share with you to give as much information about the curriculum. This powerpoint is also attached below. In addition, we have included samples of curriculum resources that the children would be using appropriate to their different age groups.
If you wish to share your views on this for consideration during the consultation please e-mail:
The deadline for responding to the consultation is 31st October 2020.
