Welcome to Year 6!
This promises to be an exciting final year at Holy Family as we embark on our first Year 6.
It was fantastic to see so many of you at our welcome talk. This was a great opportunity to share information on the year ahead. If you were unable to attend, please find the documents within our class pages.
In Year 6 we are encouraging the children to take more responsibility whilst developing a higher level of resilience, independence and responsibility.
6J and 6T have their class assemblies to look forward to this term (please see ‘Key Dates’) and we hope to see as many of you as possible at these fantastic displays of the children's work. A reminder that parents are invited to our whole school Achievement Assemblies on Friday afternoons at 2:40pm in the school hall. Children receiving certificates are always excited to see their parents/carers attending for their moment of glory.
Homework is set each Wednesday and should be returned to school the following Monday. The children should complete these tasks on their own to develop their own sense of responsibility, taking a great pride in their work and preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
At Holy Family we do our best for the glory of God.
SATs Week Celebrations
This week the children worked incredibly hard and really took the opportunity to shine during the SATs. We are incredibly proud of their positive approach and efforts that continued all week. They enjoyed taking part in the breakfast club and were well prepared for all of their important exams.
Following the SATs, the children have had time to relax and read in the sun, enjoyed a movie based on one of our class texts studied and had an indoor picnic (due to the weather). To finish this busy week, the children enjoyed a camp fire in Willis Woods with Ms Woods and made hot chocolate. All-in-all, a wonderful Friday to celebrate their perseverance and commitment to their studies.

Well done everyone!
Enjoy the weekend with NO HOMEWORK!
