This week we have set additional homework for Year 6 to help consolidate learning of the fractions topic taught in class. We have also set mixed grammar activities to support your revision of key grammar concepts. These will help prepare you for your end of Autumn term assessments.
This week you have been set five pieces of homework comprising of the following:
1. Maths tasks and activities. (My Maths)
2. Reading task (myOn)
3. Spellings to memorise and build sentences with. (See spelling document uploaded)
4. Two mixed grammar exercises. (Try your best to complete and self assess both exercises)
Exercise one will focus on: synonyms, colons, questions, commands, antonyms, direct speech and question marks.
Exercise two will focus on: apostrophes, adjectives, punctuation, modal verbs, word families, nouns and verbs.
5. Maths worksheets: Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers. (Choose an appropriate activity)

This week we will be using the following website to complete reading at home: https://www.myon.co.uk
Please see letters that were emailed to you by your class teacher detailing access information and login details. You can view the book assigned to you in your 'classroom.' This week, you are invited to read 'Hedy's journey: The true story of a Hungarian girl fleeing the Holocaust.' This book is about a Jewish family who flee America in hope of a better life. This links in with our recent studies on Judaism.
