Macro-photography montage
This week we are going to look at photography as an art form. You are invited to use cameras to create abstract images from natural forms as we observe line, shape, pattern and form in nature.
Take powerful close up photographs inspired by the artist Edward Weston. Select foliage, fruits, vegetables or any other natural visual stimulus that interests you.
Once you have decided on your objects, consider the background and lighting to make the object stand out. Take six separate photos and combine these into a montage using either photo editing apps or by transferring them to a computer.
Use controls to desaturate some images as they are converted into shades of grey or crop them to develop focus.
Allow you artwork to come to life as we see nature in a different form.
